Happy Sunday! For once I have actually read quite a bit today – I am currently reading the fourth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and it is hard to put down. I got an urge to re-read the entire Harry Potter series and subsequently read the first three in less than a week. Then I had to take a few days off until I could go to the library, and got the fourth and fifth books on Friday. I am thoroughly enjoying my re-read so far.
In the middle of this past week, when I was between Harry Potters, I tried to get into two other books but was unsuccessful. First I tried The Unknown Ajax, by Georgette Heyer, but it didn’t grab me at all. I was totally bored by it. Then I tried A Song in Stone, by Walter H. Hunt. It grabbed me at first but then it started getting tedious and I have a feeling I probably won’t finish it. I may say more in separate post. I’m a little worried that maybe Harry Potter is spoiling me for anything that isn’t so fast-paced and easy to read, but I suspect it’s mostly just the mood I happen to be in right now. So I’ll just enjoy my Harry Potter kick while it lasts and assume that I’ll be able to get into other books again when I’m done.
How was your week in reading?
