Happy Sunday everyone! I’ve missed a few weeks as I’ve been quite busy and distracted (in a positive way) and haven’t been reading much. After finishing The Uncommon Reader a couple weeks ago I was planning to read Dreams and Shadows: The Future of the Middle East, but I quickly realized only a few pages in that I didn’t have the attention for heavy non-fiction right now. So I instead turned to an old favorite, Pride and Prejudice. I finished it this morning (so delightful as usual) and went to the library this afternoon for more fiction: Kaaterskill Falls, by Allegra Goodman, and The Rabbi, by Noah Gordon. I have enjoyed other books by both authors and expect these to be good as well. I might be traveling for work this week and figure that either one (but probably The Rabbi, since it is longer) will make good plane reading. Although overall I don’t exactly look forward to work trips, it will be kind of nice to have a chunk of time on the plane where I can’t do much else except read, since a lot of other things have been vying for my attention recently.
