Hello Sunday Saloners and others! Once again I had a week where I didn’t read much; mainly because my mother-in-law was visiting so we were busy doing things. I did finish Shelter for the Spirit, by Victoria Moran, which I enjoyed and will review at some point. After that I started Mr. Sebastian and the Negro Magician, by Daniel Wallace, which so far is quite good.
Since tea goes so well with books, I thought I’d talk briefly about tea. With my mother-in-law we visited the Celestial Seasonings factory here in Boulder. The factory tour was fun and then we spent a bit of time browsing their store. I bought three varieties of tea, all herbal and caffeine free: Almond Sunset, Vanilla Hazelnut, and African Orange Mango (with rooibos). I haven’t tried Almond Sunset yet, but the other two are delicious (yes, even in the middle of summer I like tea, although actually it was quite cool the past week). I also added to my collection (or what has become a collection) of tea-for-one sets. I had one tea-for-one set that my husband bought me a few years ago; then a few weeks ago I found another at a thrift shop that I simply couldn’t resist, and then I doubled my collection with two more from the Celestial Seasonings store! They are so fun and whimsical and I love to drink tea out of them while reading a good book 🙂 Below is a picture of me with all of them. Hope you all get to enjoy some books and tea this week!
